Formula 1 Superstar Lewis Hamilton is no longer excluded from the older cars of Scuderia Ferrari HP. After crashing a Ferrari SF-23 last month, Hamilton now has to cool his heels until the time on the track, waiting until he can get behind the wheel of the new 2025 racing car.

Learn why Lewis Hamilton switched to Scuderia Ferrari.

Thanks to the new F1 tests from the previous car (TPC) instructions Ferrari and other teams that were urged last year, Hamilton is essentially exiled to simulators. That is because the rules state that a driver can only register 1,000 km TPC for a maximum of four days.

Hamilton crashed the SF-23 on his second day of TPC in January. In anticipation of the SF-23 repairs, the Hamilton team had a tire test done for Pirelli in a modified SF-24, with the help of his third day of TPC.

As soon as the poorly damaged car was finally repaired, the British F1 director could only find out for another day.

In the meantime, teammate Charles Leclerc could not get time in the SF-23 on the day of the crash, so he was still able to register two full days of testing as soon as the vehicle was ready to go again. He also participated in the tire tests for Pirelli.

We will see what impact this development has on the preparation of Lewis Hamilton at the start of the F1 season.

While Ferrari blew the Hamilton -Crash after it had happened, as if it were only a part of the process to call in his newest star, we wonder how the team now feels behind closed doors. Are they still sure that Lewis Hamilton will swing in the first race of the season, or is there a feeling of growing hesitation about things?
